Featured Presentation: Exploring Identity through Theater

In partnership with our Center for Health Innovation, Deborah Little, Associate Professor of Sociology and qualitative researcher, and Margaret Lally ‘82, Associate Professor of Theatre, will deliver a presentation on “Exploring Identity through Theater.”

Together they teach a course on exploring disability through theater and spoken word. The techniques could be used in any setting in which identity categories are discussed and explored. This presentation will provide examples of the monologues and theater work created by students in the course, and some hands-on experience with various techniques. In the program, students reflect upon the social meanings and experience of disability and what they can teach us about ourselves and each other.

Attendees must RSVP to

Hot breakfast will be served. Complimentary lunch passes and bookstore coupons will be available upon request. Student-led campus tours will be available at the conclusion of the event
